WE MOVED! New Day and Place!
Hello Dear Friends,
Mountain Mindfulness Sangha is honored to have been hosted by Urban Dharma these past 3 1/2 years! Dr. Hun Lye and Urban Dharma have been totally welcoming and most generous in allowing us the use of their sacred space on Monday evenings. Many in our sangha have developed relationships with that community, and will continue to do so. Dy. Lye very much desires that we continue our connection with them in their new space off Walnut St. (for more info, visit www.udharmanc.com )
Beginning September 19th, we have two major changes:
LOCATION - moving to West Asheville, to the Center for Art and Spirit at St. George's Church, at One School Road.
PRACTICE DAY - we are changing to Tuesday evenings (church not available on Mondays), same time, 7-8:30pm.
There is plenty of parking at the church, in their lots which are on 3 sides of the building. Also, we will now be able to include Outdoor Walking Meditation as part of our Tuesday evening practice, when weather permits. There is a handicap-accessible entrance off the parking lot on the south side of the building. Our regular entrance is through the double red doors on the north side of the church. We will be meeting in the main sanctuary of the church.
There are plenty of cushions and very comfortable chairs (!) for us to use at the church!
We look forward to having you join us in our new space and on this new weekly night of practice on Tuesdays! Our first night in the new space, Sept. 19th, we will be doing sitting meditation, followed by walking meditation (maybe outdoors), then reciting the 5 Mindfulness Trainings, and having a time of sharing.
Please come a bit early to leisurely park and find your way into this new space.
Enter through the main sanctuary red doors at the front of the church.
See the map below for location. Alt 23 and 74 are other designations for Patton Avenue as it comes off 240, heading west out of Asheville.
Grateful for consistency, grateful for change,
MMS Care Team
